    By: preme | On: 23 Dec, 2008

Generally, most of famous outstanding movies are produced by big production house with great directors and also great budget of course. For example, you can say like Paramount pictures, Fox, DreamWorks, and many others production house. Film Production Company like them is a company whose (usually) carry the production cost to make movies and then they sell it to cinemas or packed as DVD.

But there’s also some good short film production company or maybe some people called it as independent movie maker or independent movie production company that could make great movies that can be compared with those big production house I have mentioned above. You can check out the blog if you want to know further about what’s inside a short film production house, there’s also some tips about movie making process, techniques, even tips and tricks, also about the essence of a movie itself. What can I say? It’s really interesting, I can learn much from their weblog.

Britney Calls Her Life Worse Than a Jail Sentence

    By: preme | On: 19 Nov, 2008

Britney Spears says that since her breakdown, her life has been worse than a jail sentence – but that she’s slowly healing one day at a time.

“I have really good days, and then I have bad days,” the singer, 26, admits in a new fly-on-the wall, 90-minute documentary, Britney: For The Record, to air in the U.S. Nov. 30 on MTV and in the U.K. Dec. 1 on Sky1.

Struggling to gain control of her life again after her public meltdown earlier this year, she says candidly: “Even when you go to jail, y’know, there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like [the Bill Murray movie] Groundhog Day.”

She adds, “I’m having to pay for it for a really long time.”

Spears was hospitalized for mental evaluation in January, which resulted in her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, being granted sole custody of their sons, Preston and Jayden. Her father, Jamie Spears, also gained legal control over her affairs.

“If I wasn’t under the restraints that I’m under right now, I’d feel so liberated,” she says in the film, which follows the singer as she records and promotes her new album Circus. “When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear me, but they’re really not listening.”

A camera crew followed the singer for three months as she moved to pull her life back on track. “I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in,” Spears said. “This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through and where I’m headed.”

Overall, she says, “I think I’ve learned my lesson now, and enough is enough.”

    Movie Download for Ipod

    By: preme | On: 15 Nov, 2008

When Apple first revolutionized the music industry with the release of the Ipod, little did anybody know just how far reaching the impact of that little device will be. With the 1 billionth Ipod being sold recently, it’s no surprise that Apple are investing even more resources into developing their Ipod. With the new versions of the Ipod supporting video playback, the attention once again shifted and added a new market. What was once a problem for the music industry is now a problem for the movie industry with illegal downloads. Regardless, movie downloads for Ipod are set to soar and maybe even overtake audio downloads.

The biggest frustration for Ipod users is where to find movies to download? There are currently hundreds of online music shops where you can legally buy music, but there are very few movie sites and it seems like the technology caught the supply off guard. Only recently a couple of sites sprang up that provide downloadable Ipod movies of virtually anything you can think of.

Then there is also the whole debate of legal downloads. The landmark lawsuit against Napster in the 90’s marked a turning point in peer-to-peer (P2P) downloads and today these sites are illegal – despite the rumors that the ‘law’ can’t touch you when it comes to P2P. Several agencies are actively persecuting illegal downloaders and recently a 19 year old kid from New York was fined $500,000 for illegal downloads. No matter which way you look at it, this is theft and the music industry really is feeling the punch. In the long run it really isn’t worth it to download illegally.

To step in and solve the problem and bridge the gap between free peer-to-peer downloads and expensive music shops, several membership sites came to the rescue. For a monthly membership fee, you can download as much music and video as you please – and it’s all legal. Since most of the mainstream music stores charge you per song, the membership sites will only charge you a monthly fee – regardless of how much or how little you download. Since peer-to-peer downloads come with many obvious risks of viruses and the frustration of incomplete and misleading downloads, these membership sites are indeed a welcome addition to the web and one that most Ipods just love.

The two biggest membership sites are Ipod Blender and Feed Your Ipod, and both offer a massive selection of movies and videos, all neatly indexed and with stable and efficient download speeds. Movie downloads for Ipods really need to be optimized and you don’t want to fill your entire 80GB Ipod with only 2 movies. The appropriate format, size and quality is important in getting the most out of your Ipod and these membership sites does all the grind work for you. All you have to do is download and enjoy.

If you are only downloading one or two albums or movies a month then a membership probably won’t be worth it, but if you are a more serious downloader, then it really is well worth it. Movies is the next big thing for the Ipod and with the next generation of Ipods you can expect an even bigger and better screen for even bigger and better movies on your Ipod.

Why is Monday night television a ratings nightmare?

    By: preme | On: 23 Oct, 2008

The awesome ladies from SarahConnorSociety.net  and Multipleverses.com have put together a fantastic article talking about the problems with Monday nights and it’s not just about Sarah Connor but all shows in general.  Specifically Kate, who wrote the article, makes a shit load of right on points about the packed schedule.  I’m not going to repost her entire article but I will post a couple quotes.

    • The ratings blogs and entertainment publications are in a quandry wondering what is going on. The answer is simple. MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!
    • A lot of people in the media have a pre-conceived idea of the average sci-fi fan. They see us as geeks, dweebs and dorks who go to comic book conventions. That may be but we are also the most educated and diverse group in the tv and movie viewing landscape.
    • The television landscape has gotten more and more crowded with more choices and people watching a great variety of programming than ever before. We also watch on more than just television. Online viewings, video on demand, iTunes, Amazon Unboxed and yes lets not forget the bane of the studios- torrent downloads mean we as viewers have other places to catch our favorite shows.

That’s all I’m going to steal from Kate but you should really read what is written there.  It makes sense and it should be spread around the net.  All networks need to rethink their programing and start respecting their demos because they don’t know what the deal is obviously.
